High Noon Talk and Tour: Mexican War Movie Poster

Join us with your lunch for a 15-minute presentation about Mexican War movie poster followed by a quick tour of selected artifacts in the exhibit, El Paso A to Z. Dr. Charles A. Pryor, a veterinarian, filmed parts of the actual Mexican Revolution era Battle of Ojinaga in January, 1914. While there is no proof that he made an edited movie out of this material, some of his battle footage survives. Pryor marketed and showed his films at theaters throughout the southwest, eventually getting in trouble for taking money from a San Francisco theater owner, then not delivering the film. This and at least one other movie poster were found folded up in a basement in San Francisco. Information 915-212-3163.
